Limited Edition: 50 hand-carved physical ‘Bit Coins’.

A playful twist on value and currency - this limited edition series features 50 “bitten” 1-euro coins, each one individually hand-carved, signed, numbered, and sealed in a floating frame with a certificate of authenticity. 40/50 have already been sold.

Blurring the lines between crypto and cash, inflation and deflation, digital and physical - this artwork fuses the mass-produced with the hand-made in a bold commentary on modern currency and worth.

Introducing Bit Coin - my first-ever NFT collection. A limited series of 10 unique, “bitten” spinning euro coin animations - each representing a different European country. One NFT has already been collected, leaving just 9 in circulation. The first five are currently minted via the carbon-neutral platform voice.com/luciedavis. 

Collectors of each 1/1 NFT will receive a matching physical Bit Coin - hand-carved, signed, numbered and sealed in a floating frame. With a certificate of authenticity. 

The value? Each 1/1 NFT is priced at one tenth of a Bitcoin, locked in real-time at the moment it's minted - a nod to the ever-shifting nature of currency and value. This work further plays with and merges the worlds of crypto and fiat, inflation and deflation, the machine-made with the hand-made, the digital and the physical.

This is now the final 9-piece drop in the Bit Coin project. The earlier physical Bit coin artworks - 41 out of 50 - have now already sold (see them here). These bitten 1 euro NFTs and their matching physicals won’t be made again.

Today, our possessions aren’t just objects but close companions – the kind we can’t live without. From desire to transactions of all types, our objects mirror our daily interactions and social issues. We have become more dependent on these tools than on our relationships with real people. Whether it’s an everyday or consumer object, we indulge in the need to always have some kind of connectivity or intimacy.

So, this mini collection explores that often overlooked space - that mundane moment where we grip onto our sacred possessions for our dear lives. These physical pieces thus aim to question the viewer/wearer’s relations and values attached to everyday and consumer objects.

Each piece is essentially an adaptation of the three rings of marriage: the engagement ring, the wedding band and the eternity ring – all of which now capture the ghosts of the essential 21st century objects. Their minimalist yet familiar outlines transform the everyday objects into abstract works of jewellery, toying with the close proximity of valuable object and a trifling activity. It’s about visualizing these new-age gestures and questioning those awkward relationships of our time.

In a playful yet pointed interrogation of modern material culture, this laser-cut leather jewellery collection reimagines the Oreo cookie as a symbol of fleeting consumption, repurposed into contemporary artefacts that are both wearable and multi-functional.

Leather 'Oreo' Brooch, 2014. This is a short-lived leather brooch that symbolizes our wastefulness and runaway consumerism in today's society. Essentially this is a wearable museum display of a modern-day artefact, a remnant of today's history that should be kept safe and treasured, as what survives of this brooch is but a sole trace of the all-American, iconic Oreo cookie. It portrays an aura of such gentle tactility and preciousness which is also suggestive of the fragile beauty that time and use impart to such a material/object.

Leather 'Oreo' Signet Rings, 2014. These are a series of seven signet rings all reminiscent of a more ancient time, like relics unearthed, but anonymously altered...Their mysterious symbols all question our attention to detail and in fact recall the modern-day elements of the iconic yet overlooked 'Oreo' cookie design that lurks in our pop culture at all times. These relics of a new age have both an ornate and functional purpose too as they double up as drawing and embossing tools. They allow you to leave a mark, make an impression and call into question "What are we leaving behind?"

A set of 10 precious and authentic ‘likes’ preserved in a limited edition of 20, ensures that they retain their initial rare and valuable ‘status’.

This award-winning collection was selected as the winner for the Freedom at Topshop x CSM student collaboration competition and launched in October 2015 at Topshop Oxford Circus, before rolling out across the Top 20 global stores and online.

About the Collection: ‘Strength Through Adversity – Designing for Difference’.

Inspired by my own personal experiences of being teased for freckles and so-called other "imperfections," this golden temporary tattoo range redefined jewellery as an empowering second skin. Designed to positively celebrate individuality, the collection turned perceived flaws into highlighted features - encouraging wearers (myself included) to embrace our traits and flaunt our differences because that's exactly what makes us beautiful. 

Furthermore, living in the age of Photoshop and airbrushing tools, skin is also always under pressure to be 'perfect'. So, flawless? Flawmore! Go unspotted with these transferable gold, rose gold and silver confetti freckles and spots. Adorn your skin in an unexpected and unique way, highlighting imperfections as shimmering testimonies in the face of adversity.

'Jewellery Undercover' is a somewhat light-hearted and humorous presentation of jewellery, one which fundamentally allows people to take a new kind of pleasure in it. It's taking the viewer and jewellery into another dimension – the second one to be precise. It’s a connective discipline, linking art, design, public experience and also bridging the borders of advertisement too - It’s out of the ordinary and fun, it’s jewellery with a graphic punch.

Concept and Art Direction for Glenn Spiro Jewels, reimagining Easter indulgence by swapping traditional chocolate treats for their exquisite large-carat brown diamond jewels.

A series of promotional visuals and adverts created for Glenn Spiro Jewels to celebrate the re-opening of their boutiques worldwide. The campaign highlighted seasonal viewings, including Summer showcases in St. Tropez and Los Angeles, and Winter exhibitions in St. Barths.

The graphic design artworks and adverts from this digital collage series were featured both in print and online in Robb Report, Eden Roc and Harbour magazine in 2024, and Palmer in 2025.

To build hype and awareness for World Afro Day on 15 September and challenge negative perceptions of afro-textured hair, we proposed FROGUE - a collaboration with World Afro Day and British Vogue that would redefine what is beautiful and on-trend.

The concept centres on a provocative, first-of-its-kind cover wrap for Vogue's September issue, launching during London Fashion Week. The wrap would hero women who are unapologetically proud of their natural afro hair, culture, and identity - celebrating the very texture and style that mainstream media has historically marginalised.

By partnering with Vogue, a publication that increasingly champions diversity and real-world issues beyond fashion, World Afro Day would gain a powerful platform to shift cultural perceptions at the highest level of the fashion industry.

The campaign would be amplified through a national OOH launch the week of 10 September, appearing across high-end streets in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, as well as community hubs like Brixton, Peckham, and Tower Hamlets. The call to action: "Wear and share your fro with pride #WorldAfroDay."

Note: While this concept was pitched to the client and received strong support and enthusiasm from Edward Enninful (Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue and European Editorial Director of Condé Nast) and the Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy UK, it ultimately did not go live due to legal restrictions around logo use.

Ogilvy, Wavemaker and World Afro Day partnered up for a new awareness campaign titled #ChangeTheFactsNotTheFro for World Afro Day 2018. The annual event founded by Michelle De Leona aims to help change the narrative around natural Afro hair. Back on 5th September 2016, a US federal court ruled it legal to ban dreadlocks in the workplace, it’s a ban not faced by any other hair and in turn creates a perpetuated bias against Afro hair. Afro hair is rarely celebrated, whereas straight hair is considered synonymous with success and beauty as seen throughout all elements of mainstream culture from fairytales to consumer products. As a result, World Afro Day has become a global day of change, education and celebration of Afro hair, culture and identity.

The campaign has been brought to life by an international team working across London and Singapore, directed by a core team from Ogilvy’s diversity network Ogilvy Roots.

Sky Witness features three main types of drama: Legal, Crime and Medical. 

As Dove stands for real beauty, we created a series of empowering idents that showed the real women who worked in these three sectors, juxtaposing them with the perfect model actresses on Sky Witness. Real judges, real surgeons, real inspectors and real police officers who didn’t conform to ‘normal’ beauty standards were cast to show the underrepresentation of women in the media.
